(This is a single sheet of Chevron decal strips that you cut apart before applying).
Want to spark up an old bookshelf, or apply the latest “skinny jean” décor to your stair risers? How about raising some eyebrows the next time you pull out your tote box, or just add some pizazz to the drab laundry room.
Do it all with our ever popular Chevron Vinyl Decal craft sheet.
A single sheet comes with four Chevron strips (as shown in the diagram), which are easily cut apart with scissors and then arranged to achieve your own unique look.
Our standard sheet sizes are as follows:
Small: Each small size Chevron decal sheet is 18” wide by 11” tall and contains four 18” long Chevron strips as shown in the diagram above. Each individual small size Chevron ‘V’ is 6” wide and 4.25” tall.
Medium: Each medium size Chevron sheet is 23” wide by 16” tall and contains four 23” long Chevron strips as shown in the diagram above. With our medium size sheet each individual chevron is 7.5” wide and 5.25” tall.
Large : Each large size Chevron sheet is 36” wide by 22” tall and contains four 36” long chevron strips as shown in the diagram above. With our large size sheet each individual Chevron is 12” wide by 8.35” tall.
X-Large: Each x-large size Chevron sheet is 55” wide by 22” tall and contains three 55” long chevron strips (similar to the diagram above). With our x-large size sheet each individual Chevron is 18” wide by 12.5 inches tall.
Estimating the number of sheets you may need.
The number of Chevron strips you will need will be based upon the ratio of space you want to have vertically between each Chevron strip. The most common ratio is a 1 to 1 ratio, where the space between each strip is equal to the thickness of the strip.
For the following estimating formulas it is assumed that you will be spacing your Chevron strips at a 1 to 1 ratio vertically.
Step One: Measure the width, in inches, of the area you want to cover in Chevrons. Then divide this measurement by the sheet width of the particular size of Chevron you want to use (18” for small, 23” for medium, 36” for large, and 55” for x-large). This will give you the number sheets you need for the width of your area.
Step Two: Measure the height, in inches, of your area. Then divide this value by the follow for each size of Chevron:
1. Divide by 12 for small size Chevrons.
2. Divide by 15 for medium size.
3. Divide by 36 for large size.
4. Divide by 30 for x-large size.
This will provide you the number of sheets you will need for the height of your area.
Step Three: Multiple the number of sheets for the width your area (determined in step one) by the number of sheets you need for the height of your area (determined in step two).
You now have the total number of sheets you need for your area.
So go ahead, show your wild side, jazz up your home, your way.
